About Sue Leschen

sue-picSue is a full time freelance French interpreter and translator based in Manchester, UK . She specialises in legal and commercial French interpreting and translation. She actively supports and believes in the need for professionally qualified, experienced and security vetted interpreters and translators.

She also has a special interest in professional conduct and ethics for interpreters and translators and writes and lectures (both in person and by webinar) on this subject.

From time to time she facilitates interactive legal terminology CPD workshops in Manchester (and on request elsewhere in the UK ) for colleagues on such diverse subjects as divorce and family breakdown, landlord and tenant law, contract law (French and English contracts), insurance law and contracts, employment law and insurance law, inheritance and succession.

In addition to legal terminology workshops, she also facilitates workshops “Clinics” on general professional interest subjects such as CV drafting, Running a Freelance Business from Home, Negotiating Terms and Conditions with Clients, Estimates, Invoices and Late or Non – Payment.

Finally, Sue offers one – to one (one hour) tailor made individual business support sessions either in person, by Skype or on the telephone to colleagues who are setting up a freelance business or looking to revamp an existing business.

She is a trainer for Linguistpd and also a mentor for the Association of Portuguese Translators and Interpreters (APTRAD)
