Sue is one of the very few legally qualified DPSI trainers in the UK so why not take advantage? Sue will not only help you to prepare for your Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (Law) and (Local Government) examinations but will also assist you to find out how to access Public Service Interpreting (PSI) work, and where appropriate will provide you with shadowing opportunities to accompany her to UK legal venues such as courts.

Preparation for the examination:

Practice with past exam papers
Help to set up your legal terminology glossaries
Brainstorm legal terminology
Exam tips, tricks and tactics

Candidates for French DPSI Law exams:

Positive criticism of your interpreting performance
Positive criticism of your practice translation texts

You can book as many or as few sessions as you need. Sessions can be either face to face or remote on the telephone, Skype, Zoom, Teams, WhatsApp.

Tuition fees

  • Fees payable in advance of each session on a pay-as-you go basis
  • Fee for one hour: £50.00
  • Fee for 30 minutes: £25.00
  • Groups of two people or more enjoy a 10% reduction of the total price

Exam preparation sessions

We will work through past examination papers together paying particular attention to:

Legal terminology – understanding and equivalents (if any) in your own language
Legal terminology glossaries – helping you to create them before the examination
Effective tactics for tackling the examination
Refining your written and oral English skills for the into-English parts of the examination

By the time that your examination date comes round in June or November you should be both confident and competent to tackle the 3 oral and the 2 written units.
